The best way to remove the dirt, grime, and mold from the exterior of your home is with professional house washing.  Cleaning your home is a great way to increase its value, curb appeal, and eliminate health hazards.  Power washing may seem like an easy task, but there is a lot to it, such as proper methods, pressures, and soaps.

Your homes exterior is your chance to make a great first impression to those coming to your house. Whether it’s a friend, family member, potential buyer, neighbor, or most importantly yourself.  The second most important person you want to impress would be a potential buyer if you are trying to sell your home.  According to the National Association of Realtors, pressure washing could add as much as $10,000 to $15,000 in value to the sale of your home.  Therefore when a potential buyer approaches your home make sure they see a professional cleaned exterior.

The house washing process is simple but requires proper soaps, pressure washer, nozzles, and methods to get the best results.  Any power washer can be set up to do the job but some will clean more efficiently than others.  Most pressure washers come with a few basic nozzles. These nozzles are good for some applications but they are not the best for house washing. Regular nozzles allow too much pressure to hit the side of your home, possibly creating damage by forcing water behind your siding. Our nozzles have a larger orifice size reducing the pressure to softly wash the dirt and algae from your home.  This is where the proper soaps come in. We use professional quality soaps to release the dirt and kill any mold and bacteria growth on your homes siding.

Lets Start Washing

The most efficient method for house washing is through a process called down streaming. Down streaming is where we use the power washer to spray the soap on your home then gently rinse the dirt away.  We start by spraying the soap on the siding or brick working from the bottom to top of the wall.  Working from bottom to top applies the detergent evenly, reducing the risk of spots that are cleaner than others.  Next we allow the soap to dwell for a few minutes to give it time to do its work.  Now we are ready to rinse the detergents and dirt from the side of your home. Using our low pressure nozzles we rinse from the top, to the bottom of the siding.

The general process of house washing is  pretty simple, adds value, and curb appeal to your home, but isn’t easy work.  For the best results power washing takes thousands of dollars in equipment, an array of cleaning agents,  knowledge and experience.  This is why I recommend hiring a professional to perform the work for you.  For an extremely reasonable price your home could be professionally cleaned while you sit back and relax.
